Youth Golf Scholarships
Prepare your child for the future when you join The North Florida Junior Golf Foundation in Jacksonville, Florida. At our organization, we offer a special golfing scholarship for our members. These youth golf scholarships give your child a chance at a brighter future in the sport.
The North Florida Junior Golf Foundation is proud to offer academic scholarships through the NFJG Foundation Scholarship Program. All current and past members who are enrolled or plan to enroll as a full-time student in an accredited college or university are encouraged to apply. The purpose of the NFJG Scholarship Program is to encourage and promote the attainment of higher education goals for Foundation members who have demonstrated a high level of academic achievement during school or college.
Eligibilty
Applicants for the NFJG Scholarship Program must be current members (or past members currently in college) of the NFJG. Applicants must have completed (or plan to complete) high school prior to August 1 of the enrollment year (NFJGF Scholarship only) and must be enrolled (or planning to enroll) as a full-time student. A full-time student is defined as one who is taking 12 or more hours in a course of study leading to a traditional associate (2 year) or baccalaureate (4 year) degree at an accredited college or university located within the United States, or considered a full-time student by his/her respective institution.
NFJG Foundation Academic Scholarships
The NFJGF Scholarship Program is designed to award one-to-four-year scholarships along with other 1-year, 1-time scholarships approved by the NFJGF Board of Directors. The awards are:
- The Foundation Four-Year Awards ($8,000.00) renewed annually ($2,000.00) for up to four consecutive years.
- The Foundation Annual One-Year Award ($2,000.00).
- Northern Chapter, North Florida PGA Scholarship – $2,000.00 for one year.
- Other scholarships approved by the Board of Directors.

Selection of Winners
Scholarship recipients will be selected on the following competitive basis by using a combination of criteria on class level:
- Academic Performance – includes high school/college grades, G.P.A. and/or ACT/SAT scores.
- Extracurricular Activities
- Your Personal Statement
- Applicant Interview
- NFJG TOUR Activity
- Community Involvement
- Financial Need
Extracurricular activities and “Your Personal Statement” will help the Committee further evaluate the candidate’s interests and abilities. Contributions to the community may be demonstrated by involvement in local clubs and organizations/associations. Extracurricular activities should be documented by type and years involved.
